Zhejiang Haers Vacuum Containers Co., Ltd., founded in 1985, is a leading brand operator and manufacturer in China’s cup and flask industry. It serves as the chairing unit of the Cup and Flask Subcommittee under the China National Light Industry Council. The company primarily engages in the R&D, design, production, and sales of cup and flask products made from various materials including stainless steel, titanium, glass, plastic, and aluminum. Over the years, Haers has received numerous honors, including the National Workers’ Pioneer Award, Zhejiang Famous Brand Product, Zhejiang Export Famous Brand, Well-known Trademark of Zhejiang Province, Model Enterprise for Trademark and Brand Development in Zhejiang, "Pin" Logo Zhejiang Manufacturing Enterprise, Zhejiang Green Factory, Top 10 Enterprises by Tax Revenue per Acre in Jinhua, and Top 10 Most Influential Enterprises in Yongkang. Since the announcement of China’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, Haers has actively responded to the national call by integrating green and environmentally friendly concepts into every stage of its operations — from product design, raw material selection, production and processing, to transportation, usage, and recycling. Building on its digital and intelligent development foundation, Haers has been vigorously promoting green transformation through initiatives such as establishing green factories and obtaining organizational carbon neutrality certification.

- With support from Carbon Newture, Haers achieved organizational carbon neutrality based on the latest international carbon neutrality standard ISO 14068 and obtained certification from the authoritative third-party organization SGS.
- The company plans to install a photovoltaic system at its new factory, which is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 3,427.8 tCO₂e.
- Additional emission reduction measures, including an intelligent lighting system for the garage, a waste heat recovery project at the new factory, and a compressed air system upgrade, are projected to reduce carbon emissions by 304.4 tCO₂e.2024
- By implementing emission reduction measures such as a cooling water circulation system for injection molding machines, upgrading the chiller and air compressor systems, and centralizing laser cooling, the company reduced emissions by a total of 414.52 tCO₂e.
2023
- By installing solar panels on the factory rooftops, the company generated 3.1298 million kWh of photovoltaic electricity in 2023, reducing carbon emissions by 1,784.95 tCO₂.
- Haers purchased 1 million kWh of green electricity for production, reducing carbon emissions by 570.3 tCO₂.
- Internally, through waste heat recovery, variable-frequency preheating, and upgrades to equipment and processes, Haers reduced its carbon emissions by 37% compared to the 2021 baseline year.
- Haers obtained the industry’s first product carbon footprint certificate for stainless steel cup and flask products.2022
- In 2022, rooftop solar panels generated 929,600 kWh of electricity, reducing carbon emissions by 540.1 tCO₂.
Through internal energy-saving initiatives, the company reduced electricity consumption by 727.46 kWh in 2022 compared to 2021, resulting in a carbon emission reduction of 4,226.55 tCO₂.
