Climate Actions
Danone is committed to leading the entire industry in transitioning to a low-carbon economy. In its Danone Climate Policy (2015), the company pledged to achieve net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. This net-zero commitment means that Danone will take responsibility for the full lifecycle carbon emissions of its products, from the farms where raw materials are sourced to the facilities where products are packaged, once the products are consumed. Danone’s strategy for achieving net-zero emissions is built on robust climate action and efforts to transform the food system. This includes addressing how raw materials are cultivated, how products are manufactured and distributed, and how waste is handled after consumer use. Additionally, Danone will offset any remaining carbon emissions.
